Dr. Allison Brown has been associated with Colorado Ballet Society since 2013 as a parent, lecturer, consultant and assistant pre-pointe teacher.
Dr. Brown earned her clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy as part of the nation’s first DPT class at Creighton Medical Center, after receiving her undergraduate degree in Public Health and Health/Science Education at the University of Nebraska. Since earning her doctorate, she has specialized in many areas of pediatric and young adult care including college sports. Dr. Brown has a special interest in hypermobility, performing arts medicine and adolescent/young adult holistic care.
Currently, Dr. Brown holds contracts with a national agency providing physical therapists to touring performing artists, and works part-time at Children’s Colorado on the orthopedic PT team. She holds numerous certifications including Dynamic Tape and Kinesiotape Techniques, Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) and a number of levels I and II courses with Lisa Howell, dance Physiotherapist of the Ballet Blog.
